Rhythm Challenge: Primary

Image
Hello! We have been working on reading rhythm throughout the year. Here we are reading quarter notes, eighth notes and quarter rests. Each heart represents the beat, so there are 4 bars of music here. I've recorded a video that will guide you through the music in this picture.  https://youtu.be/9S4F6EvtIl0 Goals :  1. Speak the rhythm  2. Clap and speak the rhythm  3. Put the words in your head  Challenge   1. Find something around the house that could be your drum! Ask your parents first! 2. On a piece of paper, draw 4 hearts and compose your own bar of music. Just like in the activity above, speak it and play it before you put it in your head.  Sharing is always nice but not necessary. You may post a picture of your work in an email or in the comment section.
